Stop set 1 students being made to take a language for a gcse subject.
I am a set 1 students in a secondary school. In 2 months I will be choosing my GCSE options. Students that are in set 1 are being made to take a language (French or Spanish) for their GCSE's. I believe this is only for the gain of the schools and we are unable to choose as many topics as the others.
I play lots of music in my spare time and so do 5 of my other classmates. For us to be forced to take French lowers our chances of getting into a music class even more. (There are only 30 spaces in this class.)

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is a decision for your school, not the UK Government or Parliament. Modern foreign languages aren't compulsory at GCSE.
You could raise this issue with your school's senior management or governing body.
