EU ~ EU membership ~ General Election ~ Parliament ~ Referendum
A final referendum on EU membership at the same time as a General Election.
Once this Government has completed their negotiations with the EU27, they should resign and a General Election be called before implementing our departure from the EU.
At the same time a binding referendum on EU membership be held and the subsequent Parliament be obliged to implement the result.
This would ensure a proper debate on the issues, with the electorate clear about the consequences of their votes. There would be no reason to object to the result with all the facts known and new Parliament elected fully aware of its obligations.
