Give anonymity to the accused in a Sexual Offences trial

Petition Details

Those bringing a case forward of sexual offence have the right to anonymity under the Sexual Offences Act. The same should be applied to those being accused, they should remain anonymous until proven guilty.

Additional Information

High profile people eg footballers could have their reputation and their careers damaged by such allegations being brought forward even if they're cleared of all charges, until a guilty verdict is reached they should be able to remain anonymous.
