Ban the breeding of Micro Pigs.

Petition Details

We are an animal sanctuary who rescue pet micro pigs, that have been bought has a pet and kept in unsuitable surroundings. We have rescued pigs from 1 bedroom flats, terraced houses, abandoned in fields and town centers. This as become a national and international problem and needs to be stopped.

We currently have 60 pigs in our care which were originally bred as micro pigs. Our largest rescue pig weighs in at 250kg. Please visit our website: www.pigsinnheaven.co.uk
Breeders sell these pigs has cute little piglets and tell the public they will grow to the size of a small Labrador but in truth grow much larger and wider. When this happens people do not know what to do with them and contact our sanctuary to see if we can take them. The breeding of so called micro pigs needs to stop now.
