The mayor of the Capital city of the UK should not be a political position.
Sadiq Khan continues to focus on canvassing for a Labour base, 1.3 million out of 8 million people in London voted for him he is not representing the people of London. He continues to go against the will of the people by promoting London is open his recent trips to India he asked for dispensation
His recent trip to India and Pakistan promoted open borders and special treatment for people from these countries. London is the capital of the UK and his actions since becoming Mayor are supportive of a state within a state. The UK is proud of the city as our capital and we.want to have a say in its future. It is also reprehensible that the Mayor is allowed to promote his own views on to the people of the UK and London from a.labour perspective this is not representative of the people of the UK

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Mayor of London is elected by the people of London.
We're not sure what you mean by "the mayor of the Capital city of the UK should not be a political position".
If you'd like Parliament to change the law, so that the Mayor of London is chosen in a different way, you could start a new petition calling for a specific change.
