Stop teaching unimportant math and focus on what is necessary and will be used

Petition Details

In lessons around half of the math children are taught will prove to make no difference to their future occupation. Instead of speeding through lessons trying to get through the curriculum , go at a slower pace learning more necessary math skills and making sure it is understood.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what changes you'd like to see to the maths curriculum.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
