An example of the value of Police Dogs was presented in the House of Commons by Sir Oliver Heald on the 5th Dec 2017, who proposed 'Finns Law' 2nd reading 23rd Feb 2018.
He underlined the value of Police Dogs.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Funding for police dogs is an operational decision for the local Police and Crime Commissioner (except in London and Greater Manchester where the Mayor performs this function).
