Keep m.o.t. standards the same.
The goverment want to change m.o.t. standards in may 2018. This will cause great expense to the tax payer, especially owners of diesel vehicles.
Some rogue garages in order to obtain business will deliberately fail car as dangerous and so as customer you have no choice but to have your car repaired at that particular garage.
Under current system, having 14days grace one is allowed to take car for repairs elsewhere. This way it inhibits garages from making failures deliberately. New changes favour garages and take away power from consumer. Customers are left mercy of garages who fail vehicle as dangerous to gain business from consumers.
