Unemployment entitlement
Is it not about time that Unemployment benefits for those out of work are measured by what they have contributed?
I believe to save costs that Unemployment benefits should be measured on the individual contribution to NI.
It will help with the following;
Deter those that use the system as a net income. (basically a permanent salary) lower the handout to absolute minimum.
Increase for a set timeframe (3 months for example) a higher rate to those that are unfortunate enough to be unemployed.
This is one way to solve some of the issues being branded as 'free handouts' and also will give back some respect to those that may have worked for several years and find themselves in a difficult period of their lives.
I don't expect this e-petition to gather many signatures and it is a pity the current Government do not use their own judgment on such matters.
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
