HMG should seek to keep UK time constant all year as will be less confusing, therefore cause fewer accidents & as a result saves lives
HMG should facilitate adequate debates & consultation in keeping UK time constant all year as it will be less confusing, therefore cause fewer accidents & as a result saves lives This is because people get ‘acclimatised’ & habituated towards the daylight hours available to them during various times of their daily routines like going to or returning from work or school, shopping, etc. What is accepted as the chronological time at any fleeting moments interacts & affects people’s idiosyncratic & varied lives. Therefore it is important to have a bottom-up approach by having proper debates and consultation on whether UK time should be kept constant all year; either at GMT, BST or continental time (2 hours ahead of GMT).
