Refund our tuition fees for the period of time that our lecturers are on strike.
From the 22nd February all university lecturers at 85 universities will be going on strike, with regards to their pensions. This is anticipated to last approximately 3-4 weeks. As we will not be taught, we argue that for this period we should be refunded our tuition fees during that period of time.

As per the above article, we as students are estimated to lose out by £675 per student as a result of the impending strike action. That equates to £650m in total. Whilst many students are appreciative of the need and right to strike, we as the 'consumer' should be awarded a refund of our already extensive tuition fees for this period.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The decision to refund student tuition fees would be responsibility of universities, rather than the UK Government or Parliament.
You could start a petition asking the Government to make it law for universities to issue refunds when students don't receive lessons as a result of strikes.
