Do not dissolve the Civil Partnerships
This has been going on for years and its time we understand that equality includes the option for opposite and same sex couples to be permitted to hold a Civil Partnership as many do not want to be "married"- so lets NOT dissolve Civil Partnerships but open it up for opposite Sex couples
Civil Partnership from the Official Stats have shown a massive increase in the last year alone

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure whether your petition is about retaining civil partnerships in their current form or extending civil partnerships to opposite sex couples.
There are no plans to change the law around civil partnerships at the moment.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking Parliament and Government to extend civil partnerships to opposite sex couples, if that's what you'd like to happen.
