Recognise endometriosis under the equality act 2010
Many suffer with endometriosis which causes extreme chronic or recurring pain, chronic fatigue, digestive problems, fertility problems and many have to undergo multiple surgeries, intense hormonal medication and do not have the same rights as other people with disabiling illnesses.
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) covers the symptoms of endometriosis such as chronic pain and chronic fatigue, but sufferers of the illness are not covered, and do not have the same rights as other people with disabiling illnesses. Endometriosis is recognised as a disability in many other countries, but not yet in the UK.
Endometriosis should be formally recognised as a disability, and covered under the Disability Discrimination Act.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and the Equality Act don't name specific medical conditions. In most cases, it’s the impact on the person’s life that qualifies them for support or protection under the law.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do to support people who are suffering from endometriosis.
You might like to sign this petition, which calls for an awareness campaign about endometriosis:
