A statue commemorating Mrs Thatcher should be erected in London.
As we celebrate and reflect on the centenary of The Representation of the People Act, which established the principle of womens' right to vote, we should celebrate Margaret Thatcher, as our first female Prime Minister, with the erection of a statue in her honour.
1. She is a shining example of what can be achieved to all, but particularly to women of all political hues.
2. As a person, she was UK's longest serving Prime Minister in the 20th Century.
3. Mrs Thatcher was a beacon of light for free speech.
3."When people are free to choose, they choose freedom." This quote should be placed on the statue.
4. The statue should be in London to ensure the maximum number of people see it.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. A decision to allow a statue would be the responsibility of the local council.
