Provide the Police the authority to enforce a Child Arrangement Order.
Currently the police have no power to enforce a Child Arrangement Order. If an order is breached then the only option is to accept it or return to the courts to request enforcement action is taken against the breach. The process takes months, is expensive and emotionally draining.
The police can attend the situation but are powerless to enforce a court order. They can tell the offender they are breaching an order and what consequences they may face but that is all.
Giving police this power would reduce the amount of people making a mockery out of the system. It would allow what the court has already decided what is right and safe for the child to continue without dispute.
Why should the child suffer any longer then they have to when an informed decision has been made?

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask for breaching a Child Arrangement Order to be made a criminal offence, if that's what you'd like to happen.
