Give young drug offenders help instead of a criminal record.
Many teenagers and other young people who are involved with drugs can be given a criminal record and potentially a lengthy jail sentence, which would ruin any prospects in their lives. These young people should be given new pathways instead of criminal records.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking for all young drug offenders to be offered drug treatment programmes instead if being prosecuted, if that's what you'd like to happen.
