Refund UK students for the contact hours missed due to strike action
Most students in England pay £9,250 per year in tuition fees for university study, yet due to industrial action, they will miss up to 14 working days of contact hours. University students are therefore paying for a service which they will not receive.
This of course remains a matter between the UCU and UUK, however the impact it will have on the finances and the education of students mean that it will be they who are directly impacted

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The decision to refund student tuition fees would be responsibility of universities, rather than the UK Government or Parliament.
You could start a petition asking the Government to make it law for universities to issue refunds when students don't receive lessons as a result of strikes.
