HM Ships Albion, Bulwark to be funded by the foreign aid budget.
UK defense cuts include removal of these ships and crews. This will result in loss of jobs and the UK being unable to respond to disasters such as recent events in the Caribbean and the Far East. They should be fully crewed and retained as part of the MOD resources paid via our foreign aid budget.
These ships have the capability of transporting and helping rebuild Infrastructure around the world in conjunction with UK business. They should fly our flag and project UK businesses and innovations. This would also give valuable experience for our troops in wining hearts and minds. Assisting other Nations and would give a positive image of our Military. This would also show the tax paying public that our foreign aid budget is being used in a more positive way. It could also promote UK trade.
