The UK government to do more to revers the UK’s critically low fertility rate
The absolute minimum fertility rate to sustain a population is 2.1. The fertility rate of the indigenous people of the UK is 1.8. This figure is classified as critical approaching unreversable
The government is well aware the fertility rate of the indigenous people of the UK is at a critically low level. Our government should be doing everything in its power to reverse this situation. But instead our government chooses to penalise family’s who have more than one child. Our government should be creating higher paid jobs to enable couples family’s to be able to afford to have more children if they choose to. Our government could be building more houses to make homes more affordable.
