Petition Action

Condemn the Turkish provocations in Cyprus EEZ, Greek borders and Afrin in Syria

Petition Details

Turkey has proceeded in multiple unjustified acts under Public International Law. The Turkish Foreign policy seems to be ignoring traditional international provisions and the law of the sea. Our petition aims to raise awareness about the instability in the East Mediterranean Region.

Additional Information

British Implications: English base in Akrotiri and Dekeleia exist in the East Mediterranean Region where many British citizens reside.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure what you'd like the British Government to condemn.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

If you would like the UK to "Halt immediately UK arms sales to Turkey until they withdraw from Afrin Syria." you might like to sign this petition:

If you would like the UK "Government to move security council resolution condemning Turkish Invasion of Syria.", you might like to sign this petition:

Last week the Government were questioned about the protection of civilians in Afrin. You can read what was said here:
