Commission new Royal Yacht Britannia using British Shipyards, Materials and Jobs

Petition Details

The Royal Yacht Britannia served as an important symbol of Britain throughout her many years at sea helping to solidify various international relations throughout the world. It rightly was a symbol of national pride and was an important diplomatic tool of considerable weight and importance worldwide

Additional Information

HMY Britannia served her country from 16 April 1953 and was sadly decommissioned in 11 December 1997.
This was a proud symbol of an international Britain, able to accommodate not only Her Majesty and other Royals but also various foreign dignitaries and leaders which offered an unparalleled diplomatic platform to show the very best of British industry to the world with trade agreements and much more brought to fruition aboard her.
Britain now needs another Royal Yacht Britannia more than ever!
