Make the death penalty legal in the UK
In August 2011 the Metro newspaper did a poll on whether the dealth penalty should be brought back to the UK. 1,100 people took part in it and 54% of people argued for it to become legal again while only 30% are against the idea.
Of those in favour, 94 per cent want it for murder, 68 per cent for war crimes and 62 per cent for child abuse. But 29 per cent believe it should be extended to major drug dealers and 45 per cent say it should be used for rapists and those involved in gun crime.
