Petition Action

Make the Home Secretary explain to Parliament the lack of FGM prosecutions.

Petition Details

FGM has been illigal since the passing of the Prohibition of Female Circumcision Act 1985 yet there hasn't been a single conviction despite the estimated 103 thousand girls living with the consequences of FGM the UK. Such investigations are a police matter and they answer to the Home Secretary.
