Deduction of Bank Charges from the State Pension Payments
RBS have been creating charges over weekends to deduct from a Basic Account before the due Pay Day of the Pension.
The bank deny this practice as they state that Bank Transactions do not take place over the weekend and Bank Holiday dates.
This practice creates hardship as the Pension Paid is considered the minimum amount to cover the weekly cost of living required.Government statement.
