Why should British nationals living outside the uk, lose pension increases,

Petition Details

I live with my wife in France, and have done since 2002. I was informed by letter with my latest pension increase. That since I live outside the uk I will no longer receive pension increases, due to Brexit.

Additional Information

Everybody receiving the pension increase letter only needs to read the enclosed leaflet.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. The Government hasn't announced any new rules about stopping pension increases for UK citizens who live in the EU after the UK's exit.

You can find out more here:
http://researchbriefings.files.parliament.uk/documents/CBP-7894/CBP-7894.pdf

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
