Make the government fund life boats.
After watching a lifeboat documentary on BBC2 , I don't see the difference in lifeboats and ambulances. All the people that go to sea to save peoples lives are volunteers and it should definitely be a paid job. Those people are risking their own lives to help save others. And that can be very scary.
The programme was called Saving Lives At Sea on BBC 2.
