Petition Action

To implement a fishery licence to shoot a maximum of 3 otters a year.

Petition Details

The current growth rate and lack of food for the otter has ment many well stocked fisheries to now be under attack.
The otter while understandably protected, has outgrown its surroundings and is now ruining livelihoods of a multi billion pound industry.

Additional Information

There is so many videos of otter damage to fish, birds and wild life something has to be done to protect,
1. Fish stocks in rivers
2. Bird life on nature reserves and rivers
3. Fishery livelihoods.
The continuing release of otters since 1999 has grown.
Earsham 2006 149 otters released
And many more have been released under the radar.
Many expensive carp have fallen victim to the otter and has cost many fisheries thousands of pounds in otter fencing where allowed and replacement of fish.
