Formula 1 coverage to stay exclusively on the BBC
I want the government to allow the BBC to be able to properly fund televising of all Formula 1 races from 2012.
Our Public Service Broadcaster MUST continue to serve its public and the enormously important F1 industry that supports: Eight Formula One Teams, based in the UK; over 300 specialist motorsport companys and employs more than 50,000 people in and around Motorsport Valley (figures from SMMT)
The loss of FULL free to air coverage will be catastrophic for viewing figures, the BBC's high levels of production will not be replicated for the masses to support and follow this sport again.
