Illegal for tractors to be on main roads during peak hour.
Many UK roads are single lane, if stuck behind a tractor, going 25mph, it can be impossible to overtake a tractor safely. If it were illegal for tractors to be on main roads during peak hours, it will decrease the number of accidents resulting from overtaking tractors or speeding to make up time.
Tractors don’t pull over to allow motorists to pass. https://www.cheshire.police.uk/advice-and-support/roads-and-vehicle-safety/tractor-road-safety/
