Make calling people racist a hate crime.
People who voted for Brexit and have genuine concerns about mass immigration are being labelled racist everyday, causing unnecessary distress to individuals and their families. The word ‘Racist’ is thrown around by undemocratic, slanderous remainers.
In a speech at his party's spring conference, the Lib Dem leader said too many older people who voted Leave longed for a world where "faces were white" and were "driven by nostalgia".
