Establish a free speech clause protecting individuals from unlawful imprisonment

Petition Details

It seems to me that a key aspect of any democratic country is missing from our laws and that is a law protecting an individuals right speak freely without unlawful arrest or punishment. This is a major oversight in our legal system and should be implemented if we are to call ourselves a free country

Additional Information

Recent events have led me to believe that this amendment is necessary most notably

-Hate speech laws requiring no evidence of intent to harm only that harm was received
this could be easily abused to persecute those who individuals disagree with
-Recent arrests of right wing figures for attempting to give speeches

I may not agree with their opinions they should not be arrested for trying to say them
