intervene in the wood pellet/biomass fuel supply industry
The government encouraged homeowners to install renewable technologies Biomass being a point in case. the fuel supply for this technology seemingly is uncontrolled by the likes of OFGEM and prices have risen over 35% since Nov 2017 this is now one of the most expensive ways to heat a property
It is unfair that adopters of the renewable technology (biomass) are being penalised and disadvantaged by profiteering suppliers and producers.
The government should intervene in this market as a matter of urgency to ensure fair pricing in parity with other fuels, as well as ability of suppliers to deliver.
the pellet prices tracked oil prices upwardly, but when oil prices fell pellet prices have remained high.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what intervention you would like to see.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
