BAN UBER FROM OPERATING IN THURROCK...
WE NEED TO STOP UBER FROM OPERATING IN THURROCK ON TFL LICENCE'S, AS THIS IS PUTTING OUR THURROCK TAXI'S DRIVER'S OUT OF BUSINESS. AND THE SAFETY CHECKS THAT ARE DONE BY THURROCK UBER DO NOT HAVE TO COMPLY WITH, PUTTING CUSTOMERS AT RISK
THURROCK TAXI DRIVERS HAVE TO HAVE CRB CHECKS, VICHELE CHECKS AND LICENCE CHECKS AS WELL AS DOING A TEXT ON LOCAL KNOWLEDGE. WHERE AS UBER OPERATING IN THURROCK DOES NOT HAVE ANY CHECKS DONE BY OUR COUNCIL. PLUS TFL DO NOT DO CRB CHECKS PUTTING PEOPLE AT RISK AS YOU DO NOT KNOW IF THE UBER DRIVER IS A CRIMINAL AND A RISK TO YOUNG OR OLD PEOPLE.
