make MP's toe the line
When an election is due, each party promises actions on various topics that they use to get elected. Once elected they then do what they please and make decisions on subjects that is different from what they say to get elected. It should be law that you must carry out your election manifesto that you were elected to government with. We have seen this year with the coalition government where they have went against all that they promised and we the electors have very little say in the matter for years to come.
