Petition to get our High street's more attractive to consumers than the internet
The High Street retail sector is responsible for the employment of many of us but is under constant and growing pressure from the internet and I think it could benefit from some government intervention to encourage buyers to visit and sellers to utilise it.
Nothing knocks consumer confidence like vacant shops in town centre's and with the current uncertainty surrounding the economy we need everyone and everything pulling in the same, positive direction to try and make a success of it.
I'd like the Government to debate the cost benefit analysis of getting back to a thriving British High St vs Web based companies further prospering.
There must be some way of reducing rates or implementing cheaper parking or something to remove the barriers to trade

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
