Petition Action

Reform the way the British Elections are Run.

Petition Details

The elections are currently held so Each constituency in the UK elects one Member of Parliament (MP) to a seat in the House of Commons.

This at present is meaning the british population are left with only two parties to vote for (who realistically Can win)

This is far from Democratic.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
There are lots of different ways to decide who gets to sit in Parliament.
You could start a new petition and say whether you want to move to an entirely new system for electing a Parliament, or whether you want to make changes to the current system.
