Stop British Passports being made in France post Brexit

Petition Details

The Government are about to rubber stamp a 10 year deal that will see post Brexit Passports being made in France, putting jobs at risk in Gateshead where they are currently made. Please sign to stop this ludicrous decision

Additional Information

De la Rue currently make British Passports in Gateshead, a British company employing people from the north east. This Government has decided that after Brexits the contract should go to a Dutch/French company in France. France meanwhile don’t obey EU rules re competition stating that French Passports must be made in France for security reasons.
