This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The South Lakes Safari Zoo is the responsibility of Borough of Barrow in Furness Council.

You can also petition Borough of Barrow in Furness Council. You can find out more here:

www.barrowbc.gov.uk/about-the-council/democracy-and-elections/petitions/

You could also start a new petition about something the UK Parliament or Government are responsible for. For example, you could start a new petition asking the Government to set up a central body to license, monitor and enforce standards in zoos.
