Changes to UK Elections
Manifestos to be recognised as contracts. Manifesto pledges to be carried out or citizens compensated.
Coalition government only permissible after a coalition manifesto has been published and the electorate has assented. A maximum of 2 coalition manifestos to be published. If neither receives the assent of the electorate another election must be called.
If a coalition has a senior and a junior partner, no member of the junior partner may be a senior Cabinet member.
A junior coalition partner should be barred from appointing individuals to government departments where it does not hold a ministerial post.
