Give vegans the same protection under law as other groups discriminated against.
In law religious, ethic, gender, sexuality, etc have their rights protected. Vegans have deeply held ethical beliefs, which are overlooked and ignored in many aspects of society. Vegans should have the same rights to challenge where discrimination takes place as any other group.
7% of U.K. citizens now self describe as vegan.
Stories abound of vegans being given non vegan food, drinks, products and services both deliberately and by omission (through inadequate labelling).
At present where this is found the best vegans get is an apology. More commonly they are ignored or mocked when raising a complaint.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. There are different protections in law for the different groups you've described. We're not sure exactly what legal protections you'd like vegans to have.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
