Record homeless death statistics at local and national levels
According to the guardian, the number of homeless deaths on Britain’s streets has more than doubled since 2013, yet the extent of the problem is not known as neither the government nor local authorities are required to keep statistics on this. By understanding the problem, it can be better tackled.
On 11 April 2018, Patrick Greenfield and Sarah Marsh wrote in the guardian that the number of homeless people dying on the streets of Britain has more than doubled in recent years, but the true extent of the problem could be much higher as there is no national or locally recorded official statistics measuring this. To better understand and help to tackle this issue, statistics on the number of deaths of homeless people on the streets of Britain should be recorded.
