Investigate the role of the Information Commission due to its ineffectiveness
Call for an investigation into the role of the ICO and why they refer the public back to, and do not act against, the public bodies/organisations who do not reply to data requests and maintain their silence in order to block/obstruct complaints. Urgent changes/reforms to the law need to be made
Due to the advice by the petitions committee when rejecting 3 petitions - https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/206379 - https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/205268 - https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/213769 we call on the government/Secretary of State to make appropriate provision to ensure that the Information Commission act to assist members of the public to obtain full disclosure of their records in order to pursue complaints further & ban public bodies from withholding records
