Determine in UK Common Law that Facebook is a Publisher

Petition Details

Facebook can no longer claim to be a neutral platform used to connect people. In law, FB cannot vet staff to determine their political persuasion and yet there is enormous potential for FB to interfere in our democratic processes. This petition is driven by a desire to protect our democracy.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Interpreting the law is the responsibility of the courts, not the UK Government and Parliament.

If you'd like the UK Parliament to change the law, you could start a new petition asking for that.
