I want first aid to be taught as a national curriculum in all schools.
On Sunday 21st January it was that of First aid that came to use , as my mum had become unconscious and had shallow breathing and was biting her tounge. I had to use first aid lifting her chin and that. It was the first aid that kept her breathing.
What’s the point of knowing first aid if you don’t use it ? This is a question I’ve asked myself when first learning first aid in guiding and Fire Cadets. Every year in the uk, Thousands of people die or are seriously injured in incidents according to the NHS. Many deaths could be prevented if first aid was given before emergency services arrive. First aid can include; burns, bleeding, chocking, CPR and more.
