Ban television and roadside advertising of processed meats
Processed meats such as bacon, sausages and burgers are a major blight on our nation's health and the national health service. These products provide no health benefits to the human body
The largest ever peer reviewed study - The China Study - proved that a diet rich in animal products contributed to heart disease, diabetes & various cancers, whilst the World Health Organisation has stated that bacon itself is a class 1 carcinogen, with as much risk of causing cancer as smoking.
These products also contribute to obesity - leading to diabetes and heart disease which is one of the leading causes of death in the UK.
Banning TV, billboard & bus stop advertising is needed urgently.
