British public doesn’t want to get involved in Syrian civil war
I am an ex-soldier that served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. During the two conflicts the army lost many sons and daughters. Historically wrong assumptions have been made and once the dust has settled it has been proven that the government was wrong to send troops to war. Let’s learn from the past.
War in Iraq- some evidence has shown that, there was no chemical weapons in Iraq so sending troops was not justified.
Libya- western intervention destabilised the country and caused civil war, the British government has accepted it made a mistake to go to Libya.
No one wants world war three, this arms race will only harm and affect the families of service men and women.
There is no benefit that the British public will get from bombing Syria, the UN has not backed the attack, so why start war
