TOUGHER SENTENCING FOR KNIFE CRIME! (before more young people lose their lives)
Records show 37,443 recorded knife offences across the UK in the year up to September 2017.
In London there were 12,980 knife crimes – 2,452 more than the equivalent year.
Four teenagers were stabbed to death in London on New Year’s Eve alone and 22 were killed last month! It has to stop!
There are many things that can be done to reduce knife crime and the law needs to change to deter people from contemplating the use of a knife for any crime or act of violence.
The Govenment need to bring in much tougher sentencing, starting with possession of a knife, to create a culture of zero tolerance towards knife crime with much harsher sentencing.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you're concerned about knife crime, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to tackle it.
You may wish to sign this petition instead:

Otherwise, you could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
