Abolish the House of Lords Save the Taxpayer a minimum of £68 million Pounds
The House of Lords costs the British Taxpayer £68 million Pounds per year.
The data released in a parliamentary written answer showed the overall bill for the unelected upper chamber in the last financial year, excluding building costs, stood at £67,932,000.
Baroness Wilcox lives in a £4.5million home 200 yards from the House of Lords, but bills taxpayer up to £5700 a month for walk to work. ... The total costs of Lords expenses in 2013/14 was £21.4m and that was 4 years ago.
The taxpayer picks up the bill for their subsidised Drinks and Gourmet Meals to the tune of £1.2million Pounds per year.
