Automatic British Citizenship for Indefinite Leave to Remainers settled 15 years

Petition Details

My parents immigrated to the UK with my sister and I in 1988. I obtained ILR status in 2001 having lived in the U.K. since aged 2, gone to university and worked here all my life. It’s not fair to have to sit a test and pay £1330 to become Naturalised. Britain has been my home all my life.

Additional Information

I am 31 years old. I have lived in the U.K. for 29 years. I have had ILR status since 2001 (for 17 years). It is not fair to have to sit a life in the UK test and pay £1330 to become naturalised. I’ve gone to nursery, primary school, secondary school and University and spent my whole working life in the U.K. The Government even recognise my 9 month old daughter as British so why do I have to pay over the odds when I pay tax and national insurance and have done my whole working life!
