Make First-aid part of the school curriculum
First aid would be practical for young people as It is a useful life skill and will benefit them in future. St Johns ambulance stated that 140000 people die each year in incidents where first aid could have made the difference.
The NHS waste £2 billion on unnecessary appointments yet nearly two-thirds within the UK would not feel confident enough to even try and save a life. we should be helping the UK, not wasting money and time that we do not have. Not only will compulsory First-aid improve the knowledge of students it will also help the community as a whole. Students would also feel more prepared in emergency situations rather than panicking and simply waiting for help.
